HAPPY HALLOWEEEEENNNNN!!!!

Weekend Baking

Weekend Baking

What do I do with my days off? I bake some more! Are you surprised? This beauty is a Honey Plum Cake made with plums I picked up at the Pacific Palisades Farmer’s Market. You can follow my personal baking adventures on my Instagram!

The Penthouse

The Penthouse

I was pleasantly surprised by the menu here at The Penthouse in the Huntley Hotel. Admittedly, many people go here for the ambience and view, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, the octopus was cooked really well and the homemade ravioli exceeded my expectations.

What we ate: grilled octopus with risotto, mushroom confit, fresh tomato pasta and truffle ravioli in a cream sauce.

Brunch family style today. I made this Potato Bacon Frittata from Smitten Kitchen’s cookbook, Baked Challah French Toast, Fried Eggs w/ Bacon & Kale, Avocado Toast w/ microgreens and Honey Greek Yogurt w/ homemade granola.
